I chose to express myself without recourse to overstatement, to take advantage of chance, to make the most of the specificity of materials whose original destination was elsewhere, to use their music, their shapes, to accept them as one’s own to the point where they appear to have been made only for that: to follow their rules while giving the impression that each material obeys yours.
